This week at the library; or, Planning time

these are the ducks of justice
What's Happening
  • Monday
    • Playgroup (Jess/Pattie)
    • Read with Pearl
    • Tiny Tots (Pattie)
    • Pattie was able to come back in time to cover her playgroup, which was great because we have lots of planning to do! Planning commenced.
  • Tuesday
    • Toddlers 'n' Books (2 sessions) (Pattie)
    • Phew. I spent an hour and a half putting the movies in order and shelving them! Nobody can get sick ever again! And then by the time I left...the cart was full again! Fortunately, our faithful volunteer showed up and was prepared for the movies. I did get some of the prep for our big third grade visit next week done, had some enjoyable discussions with small children, and got all the Battle of the Books prep done (I just organize and supply the books - the schools do the rest of the work!)
  • Wednesday
    • No programs! I wrote a grant, caught up on more professional development, tackled paperwork, and finally got some more take home storytimes put together. Budget. Budget, budget, budget. I plunged all the toilets.
  • Thursday
    • Books 'n' Babies
    • Messy Art Club: Bottle Cap Art (with paint)
    • It was a very quiet day, which was good because I came in an hour late (I was working in my garden). Only a few people came to the program, which was fine because there was a very big adult program afterwards.
  • Friday
    • Super quiet until a few hours to closing and then busy. I worked on spreadsheets.
